MIND-Lab  (Machine INtelligence for Diagnosis) is a research laboratory in the Department of Communication, Computer and System Sciences of the University of Genoa. The laboratory is a partnership with Bombardier Transportation Italy, one of the leading Italian industries in the design and production of railway vehicles, and with Medservice.com S.r.l., a consulting firm in the ICT field.

Mission 

The mission of MIND-Lab is to develop advanced studies and researches in the field of complex systems diagnosis, using Artificial Intelligence techniques, with a particular emphasis on applications in railway transport.

MIND-Lab answers to the need of exploiting the sinergy between research in academia and the knowledge of the industrial partners, in order to contribute to the definition of the next-generation diagnostic tools.

Activities 

The activities of the laboratory focus on basic and applied research, on teaching and on the development of feasibility studies and prototypes.
